A BULL caused hold ups on rural roads after escaping from a field.
Police were called to the Windy Harbour area of Singleton after a bull crashed through a fence and charged off around 8pm yesterday.
Garstang Road was closed, between Windy Harbour and Great Eccleston, while a search was carried out for the loose animal.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “A bull was being castrated and charged off and crashed through a fence off Garstang Road.”
The farmer managed to secure the animal in another field after an hour and the road was re-opened.
