Blackpool community group UR Potential is running a series of adult courses to get the New Year under way and help people gains skills and confidence.

A four week basic IT course will begin on Monday, January 22 with other dates including January 29 plus February 5 and 19. It will run from 10am to 2pm and takes place at UR Potential’s office at 296 Central Drive.

A course on building confidence will take place on February 6 and 20 from 9.30am to 3pm, also at the centre.

A four week course entitled “Surviving the Teenage Years” will run on January 18 and 25 and on February 1 and 8.

They start at 10am and run until 2pm and will take place at the community interest group’s centre in Central Drive.

The courses are free for Blackpool residents aged 19 plus and unemployed or in receipt of benefits or working less than 16 hours a week or retired, who live in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.
