Celebrity stylist Gok wowed by youngster’s art
Ciaran Brazier, a Year Eight pupil at Speedwell Centre, a referral unit for youngsters with medical needs on Whitegate Drive, wowed the celebrity with a striking self-portrait.
Gok said: “I think it is so creative. I love the use of colour and the composition. I like the fact all the pieces of paper that make up the mosaic are very sharp but when you look at the overall picture it has a lovely soft tone.

Ciaran said: “I didn’t expect to win. I was in shock and I could not believe I had won.
“My mum is proud. Her mouth was wide open!”
Ciaran travelled to the 2015 Arts and Minds competition, organised by teachers’ union NASUWT, in London, where he picked up his award.
NASUWT general secretary Chris Keates said: “Ciaran is a very deserving winner.”
