Thornton Cleveleys Reds won the Under-10 Coulton Cup with a battling 2-1 aggregate win against YMCA.

All the goals came in the first match, in which Joel Green gave Thornton the lead and Danny Cain equalised.

Billy Cartmell grabbed the all-important late winner for Thornton.

The Reds defended staunchly to protect their lead in a goalless second game in which goalkeeper Jack Stevens was outstanding. Sam Cross also played very well for the victors.

Also celebrating in that age group are St Annes FC, who sealed the Poulton Primary League B title with a 5-1 aggregate victory over Clifton Rangers.
