Businesses gear up for Wyre Expo

The final preparations are being made for a major business exhibition and networking event this week.

Wyre Business Expo will be held at Marine Hall in Fleetwood tomorrow from 9 am to 1pm with free entry for visitors.

The expo is a Business-to-Business exhibition designed to showcase the diversity of businesses here on the coast – to other businesses, visitors and the general public – creating the opportunity to network and create partnerships for everyone involved.

Exhibitors will be showcasing products and services including training and apprenticeships, signage, graphics, confectionery and office supplies.

Around 50 businesses have signed up to exhibit and hundreds of visitors are expected.

Speakers on social media and marketing will be giving talks at 9.30 and 11.30am and Lancashire Boost Business will be there with growth mentors available for advice.

Also present will be a range of businesses from the property sector, apprenticeships, confectionery, solicitors, training, electronics, builders supplies, computers, signage, the Federation of Small Business, Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, business services, Spa on the Breck, and Discover Wyre.

Coun Peter Murphy, the planning and economic development portfolio holder at Wyre Council, said: “It gives businesses the chance to showcase themselves and show what a diverse borough we are, and to encourage networking and local business to business relationships.”
