Around 50 jobs have been saved as three hotel experts team up to run a well known St Annes hotel.

The Chadwick Hotel on South Promenade has been run by the Corbett family for three generations.

But now it will be run as a joint venture between the family, Assured Hotels and Dan Yates and his team from the Howarth House boutique hotel in Clifton Drive South.

Dan said: “This is a very exciting project for us all.

“It is a wonderful hotel in a great location but in recent years it has had a bit of a difficult time. So we have all come together in a three-way management agreement to get it right up there where it deserves to be.

“It is a fantastic opportunity. The Chadwick is a valuable part of the Fylde coast hospitality scene and we are delighted to be able to save the 50 jobs and bring something new to a fine hotel.”

The hotel, which has 73 rooms, a pool and health club complete with sauna and steam room plus a restaurant and bar, is now being lined up for a refurbishment.

Dan said: “We have plans for a renovation programme and various improvements ideas in the coming months.”

Neil Bray, from Assured Hotels, which specialises in management and consultancy services, said they were delighted to have been called in.

He said: “We are proud to be asked to come and bring our expertise to the Chadwick and we are looking forward to securing its long term future in partnership with the family and Howarth House.”
