A woman who “lives and breathes Blackpool tourism” is in the running to be named Tourism Superstar in the Lancashire Tourism Awards 2014.
Sue Copp started her career running donkeys on Blackpool beach before moving to Sandcastle Waterpark 20 years ago.
Now she is guest service and inclusion manager at the promenade attraction, leading its work to provide opportunities for the waterpark to be accessible for people with disabilities.
The park now runs regular nights with disabled charity Aiming Higher, thanks to Sue’s efforts.
Boss Jane Kelly said: “Sue lives and breathes Blackpool tourism. She’s got great people skills and works so hard.
“She really bangs the drum for accessible tourism.”
