Two businesses have scooped Blackpool Council Safe and Secure Trader of the Month awards.
Martin Livsey, a sole trader with more than 30 years’ experience who specialises in general building work and pointing was selected as the winner for April after a raft of positive feedback.
Meanwhile, David Chu, who runs Property Services 4 U which specialises in the installation of security and alarm systems and general electrical and plumbing work, scooped the May award after receiving rave reviews.
June’s winner is due to be selected in the coming weeks once feedback from the month has been analysed.
One customer said Martin was: “very reliable, polite and tidy” adding she would definitely recommend him while one of David’s customers said: “he was very helpful and polite” adding he had done “a really tidy job” of installing a new electronic alarm system.
A delighted Martin said: “This is the second award I have won through the safe and secure scheme. In 2012 I won ‘Newcomer of the Year Award’ and I am extremely happy to be recognised again via Trader of the Month.
“I would like to thank my customers for taking the time to complete the feedback forms. It is greatly appreciated.”
David, meanwhile, said: “I am very pleased and grateful to hear about this and thank my customers for their kind comments.”
Coun Gillian Campbell. Deputy Leader of Blackpool Council, congratulated the winners.
