New signs are pointing the way to everything St Annes town centre has to offer.
Traders’ chiefs have welcomed the boards – listing shops, cafes and restaurants – which are intended to highlight to visitors there is much more to the town that just the traditional shopping heartland of The Square.
Funded by St Annes Town Council with help from Fylde Council’s High Street Innovation Fund, the five signs have cost a total of £14,000 and are intended to fit in with existing street furniture such as The Square’s domes and map boards.
They also have the capacity to be updated when necessary and St Annes Chamber of Trade chairman John Moxham said: “I think they are a brilliant idea and look really good.
“They fit into the look of the town really well and will really come into their own at the height of the tourist season.”
