Global creative agency Saatchi and Saatchi has been unveiled as a sponsor for Lancashire’s premier business awards.
And the organisers of the BIBAs have announced a series of boot camps for companies with ambitions to do well in the awards known as the one they all want to win.
The Be Inspired Business Awards unveiled the London firm as the official sponsor of its prize-giving ceremony which takes place at the iconic Blackpool Tower in September.
The awards are now open for applications with 18 prizes up for grabs.
Saatchi and Saatchi’s global chief executive Kevin Roberts, who was born in Lancaster, said he was delighted the firm’s iconic global brand would be connected to one of the country’s leading business awards.
He said: “As someone who was born and bred in Lancashire, I recognise this county as somewhere business thrives through never being willing to accept second best.
“The BIBAs are all about celebrating the people, businesses and attitude which makes Lancashire great and that is a big part of what we believe at Saatchi and Saatchi.”
In 2013, Blackpool-based construction firm F. Parkinson scooped the Employer of the Year award at the annual prize-giving while Healthpoint, which has its headquarters in the resort, landed the Small Business of the Year prize.
Firms wishing to follow in their footsteps can take part in a series of ‘boot camps’ to be held to help businesses get the most out of one of Lancashire’s premier business awards.
Experts at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) will host the free workshops to maximise firm’s chances of progressing in the prestigious competition.
