Now Hannah must undergo further scrutiny from the award judges, including “secret shopper” tests on her website, to decide if she deserves the overall prize.

The result will be announced on January 22 at an awards ceremony to be attended by Hannah at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

News of Hannah’s success comes as her business celebrated a record twelve months of trading in 2017 with orders up by 30 per cent on the previous year.

Based in Great Eccleston with four full-time staff, her company stocks more 5,000 nutritional products designed to keep horses in good shape.

Hannah’s customers mostly order from her website, but her business also provides a help-line offering personal horse care advice.

Growing demand has led to Hannah investing £15,000 in a state-of-the-art computerised stock control system which will be up and running this month. Hannah is a keen rider and teacher, and launched her business from home twelve years ago.

Her staff are also horse lovers, and Hannah says that everyone is thrilled that Supplement Solutions has beaten hundreds of other eligible businesses into the finals.

She said: "We’re all very excited to be competing in these awards, and it’s fantastic that so many of our customers have nominated us.

"Although we are a mail order company, people value greatly the quality of advice which we offer, and often rely on our expertise to help resolve horse health issues.

“We have invested heavily in technology to build our on-line business, but we never lose sight of the fact that assisting people and their animals is at the core of our work.”
