A popular resort pub is set to re-open today following a major £210,000 investment.
Yates’s on the Promenade in Blackpool will open its doors today from 7pm following a 10-day makeover which has helped to create five jobs.
The pub, famous for its large beer garden near the Pleasure Beach, opens with a new cocktail bar.
Steve Price, general manager at Yates’s, said, “We’re all excited about the refurbishment, it’s set to completely update our look.
“The team and I work hard to provide an environment for everyone to enjoy and I think the investment will take us a long way to realising that.
“I’m incredibly pleased to say we’ve created five new jobs as a result of the development.
“The team and I have been finessing our customer service skills over the course of the closure to ensure we’re ready for when customers from all over England flock to Blackpool for the summer.”
The pub will also be extending its offer of nationally and locally sourced cask ales as well as American-inspired craft beers.
The venue opens to the public at 7pm with a red carpet event, complete with entertainment fit from classic rock band, Contraband, who will take to the stage from 9pm.
