A START up business was given clearance for take off when its premises were opened by a hero pilot.

Captain Shaun Tinkler-Rose performed the official duties at the launch of Eye4Money, a company which aims to provide debt and financial help to people across the Fylde coast.

The firm incorporates Eye 4 Debt and Eye4 Loans, and offers a one-stop shop for all financial needs. It has been set up by Mark Reed from Elswick and Alan Keeley, with help from Blackpool Council’s Get Started team.

Mr Reed, 39, who previously worked at Natwest and Lloyds in Blackpool and Preston, said: “This is a real chance for us to genuinely help people in what are tough times, where most people are feeling the economic pinch. We offer free no obligation advice on a range of financial products and services, such as loans and debt management. We want to make a positive difference to people’s financial lives and remove the stress that debt and finances can cause.”

Captain Tinkler-Rose serves as a pilot with the Air Ambulance, and recently proved a hero at Birmingham International Airport, when he selflessly entered a crashed plane to cut off the electrics and fuel, before airlifting the stricken pilot to hospital.
