Restaurant brand Gusto did not have to travel far to appoint a Business Development Manager for its new restaurant in Lytham.

Stacey Callagher, from the town, has been appointed to lead marketing, training and development with the new Lytham team.

Gusto Lytham – the brand’s first restaurant in Lancashire – will officially open its doors on Thursday April 14.

Stacey, 37, has lived almost all her life in Lytham having attended St Bede’s High School, and joins Gusto from the University of Central Lancashire where she worked in marketing and at the campus Law School.

She said: “Outside of a few years in London I have lived all my life in Lytham and I cannot think of anywhere better to live and work than in this wonderful town.

“The Gusto brand is the perfect fit for Lytham and I am sure this stunning new restaurant and bar will be a massive hit with local people.

Gusto – which has 12 restaurants across the UK – has invested more than £1m in its new 4,000sq ft restaurant and bar in Lytham.

Refurbishment work is now well under way at the Grade II listed building to create the new 130-cover restaurant, which is located on Dicconson Terrace, occupying the site of a former doctor’s surgery.

The company is currently recruiting for 60 newly created jobs at the restaurant, further boosting employment in Lytham’s gastronomy scene.
