Blackpool-based business advice specialist Champion Accountants has appointed two new staff members to expand its administrative and tax advisory services.
Lorraine Hoggett joins the firm, which is based at Whitehills Business Park, as practice administrator and brings 11 years’ experience working within a leading accountancy practice.
Bosses say her strong organisational skills and systems experience has been brought on board to increase Champion’s administrative capacity following an influx of new clients. Meanwhile, new starter Chloe Lavin joins as tax assistant on an apprenticeship with Champion.
The 18-year-old, from Blackpool, will access workplace learning as part of the team and aims to study for AAT Accounting Qualifications after completing her settling in period.
Lorraine said: “The team at Champion have been very welcoming and it’s great to have found a role with a leading accountancy group that will fully utilise my skills and experience.”
Chloe added: “I’m excited about this role and the career potential it offers. It’s a great opportunity to work for a successful local business.”
Established as a team of four in 1971, the Champion Group now employs more than 105 staff across sites in Manchester, Preston, Chester, Southport and Blackpool and has an annual turnover of £4.8m.
