Fylde MP Mark Menzies has urged the Government to continue to support Britain’s coastal resorts.
The MP raised the issue in the House of Commons during Culture, Media and Sport Questions.
Mr Menzies said: “What steps is the Minister taking to ensure the great British coastal resorts such as those in Fylde have a bumper 2015?”
Tourism Minister, Helen Grant MP, replied: “Coastal towns are an important part of our tourism economy and I am pleased to say that the Government have recently announced £10m of funding for tourism in the north of England.
“I hope that the Fylde will get involved with the fund, which will bring even more tourists to our fantastic northern coastal towns.”
