HTI, the UK’s largest privately-owned toy designer and manufacturer, has signed a lucrative multi-year licensing deal to launch a new range of Ben & Holly-branded children’s toys.

The Fleetwood factory’s deal covers the UK and was struck with Entertainment One who own the licensing rights to the hit new animated series, from the same stable as Peppa Pig.

The range, which is targeted at three to seven-year-old girls, includes a tea pot set, breakfast gong set, Princess Holly dressing table, magic kitchen and a selection of dolls’ prams.

The new products, were showcased at the Toy Fairs at Olympia in London and Hong Kong.

Ben & Holly is an animated series for pre-school children from Astley Baker Davies. It is centred on The Little Kingdom which is home to Ben the elf and his best friend, Princess Holly the fairy.

HTI already designs and manufactures ranges for Peppa Pig, Hello Kitty, Spider-Man, JCB and Toy Story.

John Hutt, chief executive of HTI, said: “The success of Astley Baker Davies with Peppa Pig meant that the licensing deal with Ben & Holly was particularly attractive.

“The feedback from retailers has been overwhelmingly positive with orders already taken.”
