A Fylde coast business man is hoping to bring a new focus to property sales after teaming up with a fellow new company.
Rob Greaves, of Skysight Media, which launched in March, is a video specialist and veteran of music promos for bands.
Now he has moved into the property market with short films for estate agents designed to show off their prize properties to prospective buyers.
Rob, from Pilling, has helped newly-launched Thornton estate agents The Agency, providing cinematic videos for their website and for social media channels.
Rob, 29, said the films are tailored to the distribution medium and aim to change the way people look for houses.
He said: “Photographs are the traditional way but the films offer a more intimate look at the houses and can showcase the area in which the property is set to show off the benefits of living in a particular area to buyers.
“The videos offer potential buyers a more accurate representation and better feel for the home than photographs. It’s a bit like a trailer for a new movie.”
The former Montgomery High student makes pop videos and hopes to expand into aerial films, too.
“I have just done a promotional film for a craft fair in Stalybridge and a scooter market in Arnside. The idea is to give value for money. The latest video for a three bedroomed house on Queens Promenade, Bispham, doesn’t just show off the assets of the house but also the benefits of living in the area, especially on the sea front.
“It captures health fanatics jogging, cycling and taking leisurely strolls along the promenade as well as showing the amazing sunset that Blackpool residents have been able to enjoy on many occasions as it sets over the Irish Sea.
“This new approach to selling properties has had enormous success in the US and was followed quickly by entrepreneurs in both London and Edinburgh.
“Our latest video received over 500 views within 24 hours, which is fantastic.”
