A Blackpool start-up business which has taken on staff says a new survey of Lancashire professionals has shown that people are feeling the stress of their busy lives more than ever before.

Liberty Errands says juggling longer working hours with family commitments are leaving 61 per cent of those surveyed feel like they are busier than ever and 56 per cent more stressed than last year.

An increase in workloads is having a significant impact, with 66 per cent of people now having to put in extra hours at work to keep on top, it’s putting a strain on themselves and their family. Over 47 per cent of people are often late to family events, with 33 per cent of people having to turn down family and friend social occasions because they are just too busy.

This rise in these figures has lead Liberty Errands to offer services to help ease the stress, acting as an affordable personal assistant to help with everything from running
errands to organising a family birthday party.

It taps into the insight that 84 per cent of people felt like they spent too much time at doing mundane jobs. And more than 29 per cent of people felt like they spent too much time queuing for things such as prescriptions and at the post office.

Danielle Fenton, co-founder said: “Running a business ourselves, we understand how hard it is to manage your work life balance.

“Family commitments and work pressures often make people feel like they are dragged from pillar to post.”

Liberty Errands offers
personalised quotes for those individual needs and provides booking slots as specific as 15 minutes.

Helping various customers across Lancashire juggle their busy day-to-day lives, they’ve had a flying start to the year and have taken on John O’Gara (pictured) as an assistant.
