Fylde agency in running for national award

Fylde coast agency, Catapult PR, has been shortlisted for the most prestigious awards in its industry '“ the national Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Excellence Awards.

Catapult is only one of only three agencies flying the flag for the North West at these awards and the only Lancashire-based PR consultancy.

More than 30 of the shortlisted agencies are London or Brighton-based.

The Thornton Cleveleys based agency is shortlisted in the Travel, Leisure and Tourism category for its work for Langley Castle Hotel in Notrthumberland, which entailed championing and launching a ‘Northumberland Day’ and which involved the creation of the ‘World’s Biggest Stottie’.

It is up against agencies whose campaigns have been conducted for Virgin Holidays, Hotels.com, the National Trust, Legoland and EasyJet.

Catapult PR’s managing director, Jane Hunt, said: “Being recognised as one of the best, not just in the North West, but across the whole country is truly rewarding. We are especially delighted to be a finalist in the Travel, Leisure and Tourism category once again.”
