One of Blackpool’s top visitor attractions is enjoying a double celebration.
The Sandcastle Waterpark has achieved the Investors In People Gold Award, which aims to drive up standards in British industry, placing it in the top seven per cent of UK organisations.
And it has also been awarded the Gold Accolade by VisitEngland as part of it’s national Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme (VAQAS).
Companies accredited against the Investors in People standard have increased efficiency, improved engagement, better customer service and effective working cultures, and following an evaluation and face-to-face discussions with employees from all departments and levels within the company.
Sandcastle Waterpark demonstrated its credentials in supporting its staff with training and development.
Employees at Sandcastle Waterpark endorse guest service excellence and often go above and beyond their duties to ensure guests have the best day out possible, and this is all because they have the relevant support and feel valued within the company.
Under the VAQAS scheme, visitor attractions are monitored for quality by independent assessors, identifying exceptional attractions that go the extra mile to create an enjoyable and memorable experience for visitors. Only the top five per cent of attractions are awarded the Gold award, and Sandcastle Waterpark scored highly across eight categories, including arrival, cleanliness, the attraction itself and staff, and the Gold award reassures guests that the attraction is of the highest standard.
