Bookworms across the Fylde coast are set for an exciting few weeks as a pair of famous authors visit the region to promote their latest tales.
Crime writer Martina Cole (pictured) and popular author Nick Hornby visit the Fylde next month to promote their new books – with both events hosted by Kirkham-based bookshop SilverDell.
On November 11 Martina Cole will visit County Hall in Preston as the acclaimed crime writer talks to BBC Radio Lancashire’s John Gilmore, followed by a question and answer session and book signing to promote her latest tale, The Good Life.
The event starts at 7pm, with tickets costing £5.
The price of the ticket is redeemable against a copy of the book on the night.
And later in the month Nick Hornby visits Rossall School in Fleetwood.
The popular author, whose books have been turned into major films, is to visit the Fylde coast to promote his latest tale.
The author behind Fever Pitch, High Fidelity and About A Boy, will talk about his new book Funny Girl.
The book tells the tale of the swinging 60s as the nation is mesmerised by unlikely comedy star Sophie Straw, the former Blackpool beauty queen who just wants to make people laugh, like her heroine Lucille Ball.
The writer visits the Broadway-based school on November 14.
Tickets cost £18.99 and include a signed copy of the book.
