Digital Agency, Northern Monkey, celebrate 10 years in business with plans for expansion.
Northern Monkey Creative Media’s 10th birthday celebration coincides with exciting plans for expansion following a move to new offices at St George’s Park, Kirkham.
When managing director Matthew Lincoln set up Northern Monkey in 2005, the first YouTube video was uploaded to the web, Facebook was in its infancy, tablets were bought in the chemist and tweeting was strictly for the birds.
He said: “It was a very different world when we started out.
“In today’s world we browse the internet, read books, listen to music and watch videos on our iPads and smart phones. Businesses even conduct meetings and make presentations online.
“It’s our job to keep clients up to speed with the fast-moving online world, ensure they are highly visible and able to effectively engage with their audience online.”
He said by 2020, it is estimated there will be more than five billion internet users, with over half of them accessing the internet over handheld tablet devices and 80 billion connected devices worldwide.
He added that being ‘mobile-friendly’ was now the biggest online challenge for businesses, following the latest roll-out of Google’s new mobile-focused algorithm in April 2015.
The business has grown and now moved from its previous home at the Clock Tower Lytham to Kirkham. Matthew said: “We’re working on some fantastic projects right now, including developing some bespoke software for a forward thinking football association and a national music tuition company.
“As businesses make the move to become mobile-friendly and exploit the benefits of bespoke software, we will continue to expand our services and plan to recruit additional staff in the coming year.
“Each year, the digital world evolves with some amazing and awesome developments.
“I can only imagine that the best is yet to come.”
Based in Kirkham, but with a portfolio of clients spanning the entire UK and worldwide, Northern Monkey has a design studio specialising in web design, web development and digital marketing plus a wide range of other services including printing, logo design, and email marketing.
