A top South Shore hotel has received an accolade for the quality of its food.
The Big Blue Hotel, on Clifton Drive, had received the Quality Assured Mark from Taste Lancashire, after wowing inspectors with high scores for the quality of the its restaurant’s food, level of customer service, décor and general hospitality of the venue.
The hotel was also praised for its use of local produce, sourcing local suppliers for its menu and working with them to produce some of the best meals in the county.
Taste Lancashire assessors were impressed by the quality of the food and the service standards in the hotel, which celebrated its 10th birthday this year.
Martin Jackson, hotel director, said: “We are delighted to receive a Quality Assured Mark from Taste Lancashire.
“The Big Blue has always prided itself on the level of quality we give to our guests and to have this mark to show our guests is a great honour.
“It’s been another great year for the Big Blue Hotel as we have welcomed thousands of families through the doors and this caps of a successful decade trading for the hotel.”
