Clarity Wireless has moved to Blackpool after its acquisition by technology company Infinium IT.

Originally based in Warrington, Clarity Wireless was bought by Infinium IT for an undisclosed sum.

Both businesses now form the Infinium Group and share larger premises on Faraday Way in Blackpool with the combined company employing 20 people. It aims to turnover £1.55m this financial year.

Clarity Wireless was established in 2011 and provides wireless network installations throughout the UK with expertise in installing, maintaining and supporting indoor and outdoor wireless networks. It specialises in the external event, hospitality and leisure sectors. Infinium IT, which has its head office in Blackpool, was formed in 2002 by Peter Miles, the former head of IT at Bourne Leisure.

Since then it has grown to be a specialist in the leisure and hospitality industry while also servicing businesses in professional services, insurance and the property sector.

Richard Summers, managing director of Clarity Wireless said: “Having previously worked on projects together we knew that the Infinium ethos of building strong, long term mutually beneficial relationships matched our own.”

Peter Miles, Infinium’s managing director said: “This acquisition was a perfect fit, meaning that Infinium’s current products and services are complemented by Clarity Wireless, resulting in an added value service for clients.”
