The first business to business exhibition to be held in Wyre is set to take place next month.

Companies from across the Fylde coast are being urged to get involved in the event

Wyre Business Expo will be held at Marine Hall in Fleetwood on Wednesday, October 14.

The event is designed to showcase the diversity of businesses on the coast – to other businesses, visitors and the general public – creating the opportunity to network and create partnerships for everyone who is involved.

Business Support and Advice services will be exhibiting at the Wyre Expo event and offering free advice to visitors and fellow exhibitors on the day.

Services confirmed so far include:

n Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) who will be giving free advice

n Bay Business Centre – free business support one-to-one

n Access 2 Finance - free advice on funding.

Coun Peter Murphy the Planning and Economic Development Portfolio Holder at Wyre Council said: “The Wyre Expo follows on from the successful relaunch of the Wyred Up Business Network and the Business Awards of last year.

“Wyre is a wonderfully diverse borough and the same can be said for our businesses.

“We have a vast range of small, medium and large enterprises and this gives them the chance to showcase themselves.

“At Wyre we are rightly proud of our support for all things local, this event will bring them into the public eye.”

Wyre businesses who are members of Wyred Up can take advantage of a place for free.

Other businesses will be asked to pay a small fee to exhibit.

The event will take place from 9-3pm and entry is free to visitors.

The Wyre business awards are scheduled to take place in November. Last year’s “Walk of Fame” saw more than 200 people attend.
