Blackpool based builder, F Parkinson is celebrating its 80th year in construction.
Since the company began trading in 1934 it has built and refurbished many of the Fylde coast’s iconic buildings, including Festival House, the Winter Gardens, Devonshire Road Primary School, St John’s CE Primary School and most recently, The Blackpool Tower’s façade.
Its head office has been on Mowbray Drive since the 1940s after moving from Elizabeth Street in the town centre.
Staff celebrated at a dinner held at the Winter Gardens; a venue that the company refurbished back to its former glory in 2011.
F Parkinson managing director, Ray Eyre said “The 80th night was a great success and enjoyed by all our staff marking this mile stone in the company’s history on the Fylde coast.”
