Bristol Avenue-based WST Travel has been awarded Silver accreditation against the Investors in People Standard.
The current management team built up the workforce from four staff members in 2010 to over 40 in under five years, making WST Travel one of the industry’s major operators in the educational travel field.
The firm’s rapid growth is due to its policy of selecting and developing the most experienced educational travel advisors in the region.
The Investors in People achievement follows WST Travel’s success in achieving Bronze accreditation for the past three years.
Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry.
Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.
Deborah Beckett, Managing Director of WST Travel, said: “The incredible amount of award recognition we have received this year is down to the passion and commitment of our team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Our 41 staff have over 350 years’ combined experience in educational travel and this knowledge allows us to tailor our trips to suit our customers’ needs and to go that extra mile in ensuring their success.”
Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate WST Travel. Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success. WST Travel should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
Steve Burrows, Managing Director of Investors in People North of England said: “This is a fantastic achievement for WST Travel and I would like to congratulate all of the team.
