A Blackpool promotional goods maker and supplier has snapped up a London company to boost its range.
SPS which is based at the Sycamore Trading Estate, Squires Gate has bought Ultimate Promotional Paper Products of Battersea for an undisclosed amount.
At the same time it means that SPS will enter into an exclusive partnership with Moleskine, the iconic manufacturer of notebooks, diaries, writing instruments, bags and accessories based in Italy.
Phil Morgan, CEO of SPS, which also bought High Profile Plastic Products in June this year, said: “We are delighted to add the Moleskine range to our product offering. The brand is synonymous with creativity, quality and identity; which are also core values for the SPS brand.
“As we continue to broaden our product range, we believe that this new partnership is testament to our strong position in the market and our reputation for providing high quality products with exceptional customer service.
“We are confident that our distribution network, branding expertise and sales and marketing processes will contribute to the further progress of the Moleskine brand in the promotional and corporate gifting areas.”
The partnership will generate new jobs in Blackpool, as the customisation and branding of the Moleskine and Ultimate Paper Product ranges will move to the SPS site, based at Blackpool’s South Shore.
Alessandro Fasoli, Sales Manager EMEA custom editions at Moleskine said: “Moleskine would like to express its gratitude to Philip Hebert and the Ultimate Promotional Paper Products team for being a loyal and professional partner in developing the promotional market during the last four years of collaboration.
“The overlapping of Moleskine brand values and strategic vision with the core values and market approach of the SPS brand makes us confident that this exclusive partnership will provide from one side a smooth transition and continuity with the past, and on the other hand assure the highest quality service to our passionate customers in the UK and Ireland.”
Philip Hebert, retiring founder of Ultimate, said: “I’m pleased that the brand will now be represented by an ambitious, forward-thinking group with great prospects for future growth and innovation.”
