One year on from winning a top export award, a Blackpool lighting specialist is targeting even more overseas trade with the launch of in-house designs.
Chelsom, which produces lighting products specifically for the global hospitality and marine interior design marketplaces has been working for two years on creating a new catalogue.
The new lights feature the most modern LED lights to save clients money of their bills and help save the environment.
More than 40 per cent of its Edition 26 range is new and uses the latest trends in finishes and materials as the sector enters a most “exciting time” driven by customer demand for the newest trends.
Will Chelsom, managing director, said: ““I believe that our clients will not only appreciate the refinements we have made to our collection in terms of even sharper product designs, higher quality levels and strong focus on value engineering, but also the continued evolution of the Chelsom brand image.”
Company chairman Robert Chelsom said: “In all my years working within the lighting industry never has there been a more exciting time to be designing lighting products. Triggered by fashion cycles, interior trends are moving increasingly faster and in doing so constantly stimulate new design directions when it comes to finishes and materials, which is something we have given careful consideration to.
“Edition 26 has been a fantastic collection to produce - personally I think it’s our most ground breaking to date.
“Will and I are proud to be able to say that all product has been designed in- house to create this diverse lighting collection that truly caters for all levels of the hospitality and marine sectors.”
The company, based at Heritage House in Clifton Road, won the coveted Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade in April last year, after demonstrating “outstanding results”, achieving 131 per cent growth in international sales.
It showed export growth particularly in North America, the Middle East and Europe after investing in its international sales team.
