A NEW tourism bus is set to link Blackpool’s top attractions.
Blackpool Transport’s Resort Hopper bus will run every 30 minutes between Marton Mere and the Pleasure Beach, taking in all the attractions along the way.
There will be stops at Blackpool Zoo, Stanley Park, Blackpool Model Village, Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool Tower and Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
It follows the launch of the Resort Pass which provides admission to Blackpool’s main attractions including the Tower and Sea Life Centre for just over £50.
Trevor Roberts, managing director of Blackpool Transport, said: “The Resort Hopper is the ideal bus for people who want to travel around Blackpool’s attractions with ease and we hope to see many people using this service over the coming months.
“It is also the perfect mode of transport for residents of the town and could really benefit people travelling to and from work.”
The Resort Hopper will operate from Saturday March 23 until Sunday November 3 between 9am and 7.30pm.
Tickets, which are available at paypoint shops or Blackpool Transport travel centres at Market Street or Rigby Road, will cost £3.50 for adults and £2 for children.
Tickets bought on the bus or tram will cost £4.50 for adults and £2.25 for children.
Managing director of Marketing Blackpool Natalie Wyatt said the service would be similar to that already offered in other places across the world.
She added: “Tens of thousands of holiday destinations across the world offer tourists hopper buses ensuring they enjoy the best a resort has to offer.
“Blackpool Transport agrees with this and we are delighted to work with them.
“From a business perspective, we appreciate there is a commercial risk for Blackpool Transport, but they clearly recognise the importance of this service in a resort such as Blackpool.
“I hope to see the Resort Hopper packed with people enjoying hassle free travel.”
