The company was involved in the Pure Beauty Awards 2016 and came away with the “highly commended award” Derma V10 Anti-Ageing eye cream in the Best New Anti-ageing product and was a finalist with its Derma V10 Micellar Water in the Best New skin care product 2016.

They also had three nappy creams and one scar treatment oil shortlisted in the and the Loved by Parents Awards 2016. Financial manager Michael Ryan has also won Financial Controller of the Year in the North West Finance Awards 2016.

In 2013, Healthpoint won small business of the year category in the BIBAs.

The company has 14 staff at its Blackpool offices with a product portfolio of around 280 lines. Last year its turnover was £12m and it is showing growth for 2016, aiming to achieve £13m.

Managing director Amanda Parkinson said: “This year is our 20th anniversary so it was wonderful to have featured in these awards in the way we did. We supply health and beauty products to the retail sector, particularly the discount stores. Our product philosophy is ‘Love Yourself for Less’ and this is what we always strive to achieve.”

“We entered the pure beauty awards in which customers voted to choose the winners, we were up against some high-end names, retailer brands as well as tertiary products, which is what we class ourselves as.

“The Derma V10 Micellar cleansing water and the anti-ageing eye cream both retail for £1 and we were up against products which are sold for over £20, so we were delighted to win the highly commended award (out of 30 entrants for this category) for the best new anti-ageing product.

“It just proves that you don’t have to pay a fortune for quality products and that our customers really do love our products.

“It really means a lot to us to receive this award, its great customer feedback which we wouldn’t always normally receive as we don’t sell direct to customers .

“It is a fantastic achievement for Michael to have won his category in the North West Finance Awards, a great commendation for his hard work and achievements. In fact our bank told us that the financial information he submits are the best they had seen in North west amongst their portfolio, so that’s great recognition for Michael.”
