Bus severely damaged after seats set on fire
Severe damage has been caused to a double decker bus after seats on its top deck were set on fire.
The fire and smoke damaged the seats and roof of the bus and the incident, which happened at 6.45pm in Poulton-le-Fylde last night, is being treated as suspicious say Blackpool Fire Service.
The crew dealt with the incident on Blackpool Old Road, outside Blackpool Sixth Form College, and no members of the public were harmed.
Crew manager, Andrew Jones, said: “The bus was owned by Blackpool Transport and three metres of the roof was severely burned. A joint investigation with the police is now underway.”
