The nursery at Unity Academy in North Shore was forced to close earlier after a burst water pipe in nearby Warley Road affected its water supply.
The rest of the school stayed open, but could remain closed tomorrow if repairs are not carried out in time.
Teachers are due to make a decision at 7am, with parents advised to check the school’s website for an update.
Engineers from United Utilities were called out this morning after residents reported low water pressure.
Water was spotted cascading down Warley Road at 7.45am, although no major flooding was reported.
“We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing,” a United Utilities spokeswoman said.
