Fuller was sentenced to eight weeks’ prison by Blackpool magistrates.

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said the owner of The Blackpool Hotel left his laptop and hard-drive behind the bar on September 27 last year, but when he returned they were missing.

The hotel’s CCTV was checked and Fuller was
identified as the man sneaking in.

When interviewed, Fuller said at the time he had been on heroin and Valium and
he had a substantial drug habit.

He could not remember committing the hotel burglary.

Steven Townley, defending, said it was an opportunistic sneak-in burglary to which Fuller had shown remorse.
