After more than 30,000 people took to Lytham Green for the three night extravaganza, it was revealed a new-look Proms is set to take place next year, bringing music, comedy and culture, and could be called the Lytham Festival.

A post on the Lytham Proms Facebook page said: “Lots of you are asking how we’re going to top this year... Well we have big plans for next year! #The Tide Is Changing.”

Peter Taylor, one half of Proms organisers Cuffe and Taylor, said he wanted to bring more varied entertainment to the town in 2015, following this year’s stars, which included Blue, Atomic Kitten, Heather Small, Sir Tom Jones, Michael Ball and
Lesley Garrett.

He said: “I would like to bring comedy and literary acts into the town and make it something for the family.”

Following the festival, police praised the behaviour of music fans and revealed there were no arrests during the three-day event.
