Manchester Crown Court was evacuated following reports of  "bomb scare"  say police.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police has confirmed that they were called to Crown Square in the City Centre to reports of a bomb threat at 9.45am this morning.

Members of the public were allowed back into the court shortly before 11am.

Police said that a search of the building was carried out, but no suspicious items were found.
