Hide AdDavid suffered a seizure when he fell off a lilo in the pool at his hotel in Girona near Barcelona.
His brother Adam, 15,held him up out of the water and shouted for help. His father Mark dived in to pull him out. David was put in an induced coma to help him recover.
South Shore-based grandad Bob, who takes the family to watch Blackpool when they are over from there home in Ireland, arranged for the club to send a message and his family played Colin’s recording to encourage him.
Now fully recovered, David and Adam got the VIP treatment at Blackpool FC where David’s favourite player Colin scored in the 2-1 defeat.
