Blackpool's newest bar is set to open on Friday night creating 28 jobs and bringing a national chain name to the resort.

It used to be The Litten Tree, now the Queens Street venue has a bold new look.

The bar has gone for bold prints, on-trend neon hues and flashes of gold throughout. Hugh Corbett opened the first Slug and Lettuce in Islington in 1984 and it has had several owners. There are now more than 70 such bars in the UK

While mostly open plan, there are some cosy areas
There is also a VIP cocktail masterclass station
The Slug and Lettuce chain is owned by Stonegate Pubs which also has the Walkabout chain
