Blackpool woman's recipe for business success
Former teacher Elaine Ireland ended up studying nutrition to find out more about her niece’s condition and has put that new knowledge to good use with her consultancy Freedom Diet Coach Services.
After creating her website she quickly began to find clients via word of mouth and is now looking to expand services to help brides-to-be get into shape for their weddings.

She said: “I became interested in the huge impact that diet can have on an individual’s wellbeing and health when my young niece was diagnosed with coeliac disease at the age of three.
“Prior to her diagnosis she was extremely underweight and lacked any energy at all.
"The doctors just described her as a fussy eater but my sister knew there was more to it and carried out her own research, finally succeeding in getting the doctors to test Rosie for coeliac cisease via a blood test.

“I was a teacher and was working at AKS Junior School in Lytham for the past 11 years.
“But I left to concentrate on building my business, helping people to regain their health and reach their ideal goal weight with my support.
“Earlier this year I secured a council-funded contract to provide weight loss plans to NHS patients via the First for Wellbeing scheme, and this has been very rewarding, as these are people whose lives can really be improved by being able to access my weight loss services free of charge.
