Blackpool Transport announces 10p fare increase

Single fares on all Blackpool Transport buses and trams will rise by 10p from next month.

The company blamed an increase in costs for the changes to ticket prices and said it's mobile app still offers the passengers the cheapest way to travel.

Jane Cole, managing director at Blackpool Transport said “Unfortunately due to an increase in costs we are having to change the price of our single fare and saver tickets.

"These increases have been kept to an absolute minimum and where we have been able to hold the price of fares, we have done so."

The ticket price changes take effect from June 3.
