Blackpool South MP says plans to fund free bus travel will help tens of thousands across resort
Blackpool South MP Gordon Marsden says Labour's plans to fund free bus travel for under 25s will help tens of thousands of young people across the resort.
He said: “This is a great policy for young people which will open up further opportunities to over 32,000 young people across Blackpool.
“We are nearly double the UK average for youth unemployment in Blackpool South so I know how important affordable and accessible bus travel can be in supporting people to find and access high skilled jobs and training.
“As Labour’s Shadow Skills Minister this is something I have also been consistently pushing in Parliament.”
