A Blackpool park will celebrate 70 years since its grand opening this week.
Grange Park’s 70th birthday bash will take place on the new field off Dinmore Avenue Saturday from 11am until 4pm, with bouncy castles, donkeys, fairground rides, a climbing wall and a grand raffle.
Blackpool Council deputy leader Gillian Campbell said: “Grange Park is a really fantastic asset for the local community.
“It is wonderful to see that after 70 years that the site is so vibrant and has so much to offer people.
“The new facility will really help local residents access the services that they need as well as provide activities for all ages.
“I am delighted that so many people have got involved to help mark its special birthday.
There has been a lot of effort put in to pulling the event together and I hope that people will really enjoy the day.”
Cath Powell MBE, development manager at The Grange, said: “This really has been a great team effort to pull off such a large event and we hope it’s one that the residents of Grange Park will remember for a long time.”
