Blackpool RNLI called out over woman and child fears
Volunteers from Blackpool Lifeboat were called out to a report of a woman and child in the sea near Warley Road, North Shore.
Both D class lifeboats were launched in difficult conditions, and police, fire and the coastguard also responded.
On arrival they found a dog had entered the water but no people were in danger.
The call-out came at4.45pm today.
