Blackpool primary school is rated '˜good' by inspectors
The education watchdog issued a short inspection report following its visit last month – its first since being judged in May 2012.
Aelwyn Pugh told the school’s headteacher Helen Moreton in a letter: “The leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection. The standard of pupils’ writing has improved.

“You also have effective strategies to enable pupils who are experiencing difficulties with phonics to make greater progress.”
Mr Pugh also praised senior teachers and staff, ‘all of whom say the school is well lead and managed’, and said the governors have a ‘clear understanding’ of the school’s strengths and areas it needs to develop.
Every parent responding to a questionnaire said they would recommend the school, while pupils ‘enjoy coming’, he added.
