Blackpool is one of the UK’s most accessible places for wheelchair users according to a disability charity.
Euan’s Guide, a charity which runs an online review site for wheelchair users, says the resort is consistently one of the most higly rated destinations on its website.
The Euan’s Guide website allows people to review music and sports venues, museums, shops and restaurants to assess their accessibility for wheelchair users.
Places such as Sandcastle Waterpark, the Blackpool Tramway, (inset), and Blackpool Tower have received praise in a top 10 venues list.
Euan MacDonald, who founded the charity with his sister in 2013, said: “Lots of families have memories of holidays in Blackpool, so it’s wonderful to see so many disabled people praising access around the Promenade and beyond.
“Since becoming a powerchair user, I’ve stayed at nearby Brickhouse Cottages while knowing that I could confidently travel along the seafront by tram or visit Blackpool’s iconic attractions without worrying about access.
