Love Expo based at Chiswick Grove on Preston New Road was voted best stand at the recent Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development conference.

In February this year it changed its name from Love Displays to better represent the full range of services it now offers.

Mr Charnley said: “The change came because of the expansion into more design and build work, that was the direction we wanted to progress into.

“We brought in the Mobius system from Belgium and designer Mike Jones joined us earlier this year.

“We are looking to grow the business further with more staff on the horizon.”

He said the winning design at the show was created by Mike Jones and used the Mobius system which had the advantage of being not only very flexible, but importantly was more eco-friendly than standard conference display stands.

“Ones that are custom built from timber specifically for shows are often called ‘build and burn’ because they are just thrown away afterwards.

“That is not environmentally friendly.

“Our system is built around aluminium frames and is simply taken down and can be used again. Very little is wasted and we can easily redesign, reconfigure and customise it for a new client.

“The award was significant because we were up against many big national companies with big stands and ti shows that our eco-friendly system can compete against anybody.

“It is great to get national recognition in that way. The judges see hundreds of stands and there were more than 100 at that show alone so it was a great achievement for us.

“The most important thing was that our client was very pleased too.”

As well as the exhibition for Natural HR, Love Expo has worked with the likes of Vets4Pets, International Rugby, brand BLK, BAE Marine Systems and LG Energy.
