They will be staging a 24 hour club scene session starting at 6pm Saturday to support the Dementia UK charity.

It is the second 24hours/24DJs event and one of the organisers, Jack Sprigg, of Bispham, 23, said they hoped to beat last year’s total raised of just over £2,500.

He said: “My nan was diagnosed with dementia several years a go.

“I wanted to do something, to put my skills to use and so we had the idea for this 24 hour session.

“Dementia awareness has grown in recent years with several high profile celebrities have got it, but we still need to do more.”

The 24 DJs from all over the UK will be streaming the event live on their Facebook page 3Stream and part of the show will come live from the NuBlu club in Poulton on Saturday night.
