Blackpool coins experts in battle for international award

Established in Blackpool in 1964, Chard is proud of its Blackpool roots.

From sorting coins in his Grandma’s amusement arcade on the promenade, director, Lawrence Chard, has built up a successful business with a multi-million pound turnover. Chard started trading in a small shop in Dale Street, now fifty years later, they are in a state of the art high tech premises in South Shore.

Lawrence Chard said “Our business has grown beyond our dreams. This wouldn’t have been possible without our local customers.

"They have been with us from the beginning and in a sense, we have grown up together with many of them. Both my family and our team are all from the Blackpool area. When investors ask why we’re still in Blackpool rather than somewhere like Manchester or London, we like to tell them that this is the best place to be. We need your vote.
