Barnardo’s is asking people across the Fylde to spring-clean their wardrobes to raise vital funds for the most disadvantaged children in the county.
With less than a week before the official start of spring, the charity, which has a number of stores across the area, is launching its annual campaign to encourage donations.
Actress and Barnardo’s supporter, Jo Joyner, is supporting the charity’s appeal for clothing, footwear and accessories like jewellery, belts and handbags.
Jo, known for her roles in No Angels and EastEnders, said “I am really happy to be supporting Barnardo’s spring retail campaign this year. I enjoy a ‘spring clear out’ and regularly visit my local Barnardo’s store and donate belongings that I no longer use.
“Instead of throwing things away, we can give them to Barnardo’s to raise cash to help the most disadvantaged children across Lancashire. It really will make a difference and make you feel good too!”
